So run, that ye may obtain.
The slothful [man] saith, [There is] a lion without, I shall be slain in the streets.–Let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset [us], and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of [our] faith.
Let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

The fashion of this world passeth away.
Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness. Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent.–Gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.
