Bible Study for the Day

As the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that [he might] deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

O death, where [is] thy sting? O grave, where [is] thy victory?–Thanks [be] to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.–For which cause we faint not; but though our outward man perish, yet the inward [man] is renewed day by day.

We know that if our earthly house of [this] tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.–Therefore [we are] always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord. . . . We are . . . willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.

Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many mansions: if [it were] not [so], I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, [there] ye may be also.
